News, tools and interesting articles on translation and localization

languages November 5, 2009

These are my working languages as a translator:

A: Spanish and Galician. Both are native languages.

B: English. Besides a BA in English Philology, I spent one year at Coventry University (UK), another year working as a teacher in Rockford, IL, and right now I live and study in Monterey, CA.

C: Portuguese. I studied Portuguese as a second language in my BA and I spend time in Portugal really often (I’ve lived most of my life in Vigo, Spain, just above Portugal. Galician and Portuguese were, in medieval times, a single language called Galician-Portuguese).
